XM at a Glance#
Step 1: Fill Registration Form#
Visit XM's official website and click Get Started in the top-right corner. The signup form loads in the same window — no separate page or app required.
The registration form asks for four fields up front: country of residence, email, password, and an optional partner code. Use a country that matches your real proof-of-address — XM's KYC team rejects mismatches between selected country and uploaded utility bill.
FXTRD if you want to attribute your account to ForexTradeLab — see our partner code guide for details.Third-party videos (independent creators)

Followed this guide step by step and had my account verified within 24 hours. The only hiccup was the address verification — my utility bill was in my landlord's name, so I had to use a bank statement instead. Maybe add a note about what to do if your utility bills are not in your own name.
One update needed: the screenshots in the guide show a slightly older version of the XM registration page. The current layout has the account type selection on a different step than shown here. The process is the same but the visual mismatch might confuse first-time users who are following along screen by screen.
Took me about 15 minutes from start to first login following this guide. For US expats living abroad, note that XM may still reject your application if you hold a US passport, even if your current address is in an eligible country. Found this out the hard way after completing the entire verification process.
