Install Exness MT4 Safely#

1. Sign in through the official Exness site and use the verified Personal Area route for MT4, or the official download page offered there.
2. Choose the version supported for your device. Do not run an installer sent through chat, an advertisement or an unofficial mirror.
3. Confirm the download came from the official route before opening it. If a redirect or publisher appears suspicious, stop and ask Exness support.
4. Install and launch MT4, then let the base platform connect before adding templates, indicators or EAs.

Country and entity coverage varies. The Personal Area and client agreement assigned to you are the sources for current availability; an old video or another trader's screen may not match your account.

Create or Identify the Correct MT4 Account#

Before logging in, confirm that the trading account was created for MT4, not MT5 or an Exness-only terminal route. Keep its trading account number, trading password, and assigned server together. The Personal Area email/password is not a substitute for those MT4 credentials.

Log In and Select the Assigned Server#

1. Open MT4's existing-account login flow.

• configure charts, timeframes, templates and alerts;
• practise opening, modifying and closing an order with a stop-loss;
• observe spread, margin and minimum volume on the intended instruments;
• review account history after each test.

For an EA, use an MT4/MQL4-compatible version, review its permissions and test it with risk and maximum-spread limits. Automation may require a stable machine or VPS for continuous operation, but it does not make high leverage or unsafe sizing acceptable.

First Live-Connection Check#

Connect the intended live account and recheck its legal entity, account type and server. Exness account conditions vary: Standard pricing is primarily spread-based, while Raw Spread, Zero and Pro-style accounts use different commission or execution models. Use the smallest practical first order, define the stop-loss and maximum loss before sending it, and review the fill before scaling.

Troubleshooting Exness MT4#
