Mid prices are indicative, sourced from public market data and not XM's actual dealing prices. Spread values are illustrative typical figures — check XM's live platform for executable spreads. Not investment advice.

The spread column shows indicative typical spreads for XM account types. Real-time executable spreads vary with the trading session, liquidity and volatility — always confirm on XM's live platform before trading.

Live mid prices refresh automatically every 60 seconds while the page is open. They are indicative mid-market quotes from public data feeds, not broker dealing prices.

The spread is the difference between the bid (sell) and ask (buy) price of a currency pair, usually measured in pips. It is the primary trading cost on most forex accounts — tighter spreads mean lower costs.

Gold is quoted differently from currency pairs and its spread is highly sensitive to market conditions. Because a single typical figure would be misleading, we mark it as variable — check XM's platform for the live gold spread.

How to Read the Live Data

Live price pages are useful for quick context, but they are not an execution platform or a binding quote. Prices may depend on an external data provider and can differ from the quote inside your broker platform because of spread, refresh speed, liquidity and account settings. Use them for monitoring and education, not as a ready trade order.

When comparing gold, currency pairs or spreads, look at the whole picture: trading session, upcoming news, spread widening, margin requirement and contract size. Reading one number without that context can give a false impression of cost or risk.

Before any real trade, confirm the price inside the broker platform, review the contract specification and calculate position size with clear risk management.
